Expert Voices, Hands-on Knowledge:
Dorsal Preservation Course
From October 24 to 25, a rhinoplasty hands-on course supported by W&H Med took place at Hospital Bellvitge in Barcelona. Over two days, three internationally renowned experts guided 20 participants through advanced dorsal preservation techniques.
Surgeons from ten different countries took part in two days of intensive, practice-oriented training designed to familiarise them with advanced rhinoplasty techniques. After an introductory theoretical session, the participants performed nasal bridge-preserving procedures using the W&H Med Console, a device that combines a surgical motor with piezo technology, gaining valuable hands-on experience under realistic surgical conditions
Led by Experts
The course was conducted by Dr Milos Kovacevic (Germany), Dr Yves Saban (France) and Dr Gustavo Suárez (Spain) – three internationally renowned specialists in the field of rhinoplasty. Together, they provided participants with in-depth insights and practical guidance on the latest surgical approaches. “It was a pleasure to host a course on dorsal preservation with W&H Med. The surgical conditions were excellent” said Dr Gustavo Suárez. “Presenting new rhinoplasty approaches to an international audience is always rewarding.” The highly motivated group of participants, all dedicated rhinoplasty surgeons, particularly appreciated the opportunity for professional exchange, the chance to refine their surgical skills, and to experience the precision and control of piezo technology firsthand.
Next Course: Coventry, UK
“The first W&H Med course was a great success – we are very pleased with the overwhelmingly positive feedback from the participants,” said Martin Schöppl, Business Development, W&H Med. “Together with our experts, we strive to share the advantages of piezo technology in rhinoplasty, facial surgery, and other small bone procedures. The scientific quality of the course was exceptional – it was a top-tier continuing education course by leading surgeons, for leading surgeons.”
The next W&H Med Course, again focusing on Dorsal Preservation, is already scheduled to take place in April 2026 in Coventry, UK. Those interested can stay up to date via the W&H Med social media channels and the company website.
